Olzhas Sartayev graduated from the Middle East Technical University.

Over the years, he worked in the Ministry for industry and technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry for investments and development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and as the Deputy Chairman of the Board of “Astana LRT”.

Now he works as the Chairman of the Board of “Astana Innovations” JSC, the “smart city” integrator in Astana.
