Speakers

In the 1st Expo - Congress “BUSINESS FOR SMART CITIES” took part 140 speakers from 30 countries, including:
  • 26 representatives of international organizations (EBRD, IFC,  Global Infrastructure Hub, UNECE, HABITAT, UN Global Compact),
  • 49 representatives of public authorities,
  • 65 representatives of private business.

In the framework of the 2nd Expo - Congress “BUSINESS FOR SMART CITIES” is is planned to invite international experts, regional leaders and heads of start-ups and multinational companies, the most successful projects and solutions for Smart Cities.

Agata Krause
Adviser in the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in Geneva, Switzerland

Dr Agata Krause works on the development and implementation of housing and urban policies in the countries and cities of the UNECE region; and on the evaluation of smartness and sustainability of cities using the UNECE/ITU standard “The Key Performance Indicators for Smart and Sustainable Cities”.

She is an urban planner by qualification. She studied urban planning in Poland, the United Kingdom and Belgium. She has a strong research background, including a PhD on policy transfer and sustainability assessment. She occupied numerous research and teaching positions at the University of Cardiff and the University of Dundee. Prior joining the UNECE, she worked as a research coordinator in Housing Europe and a policy advisor in EUROCITIES in Brussels, Belgium.
