In the 1st Expo - Congress “BUSINESS FOR SMART CITIES” took part 140 speakers from 30 countries, including:
  • 26 representatives of international organizations (EBRD, IFC,  Global Infrastructure Hub, UNECE, HABITAT, UN Global Compact),
  • 49 representatives of public authorities,
  • 65 representatives of private business.

In the framework of the 2nd Expo - Congress “BUSINESS FOR SMART CITIES” is is planned to invite international experts, regional leaders and heads of start-ups and multinational companies, the most successful projects and solutions for Smart Cities.

Gagik Khachatryan
PPP adviser

For 12 years Gagik was Acting Chairman/Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of Water Economy of Armenia. His responsibilities as a state official included implementation of reforms in the water sector and coordination of the projects with participation of private sector in the management of the utilities under different types of PPP.

He was also a member of the Advisory Panel for Kazakhstan formed under the project of ADB in 2014. As a consultant/advisor Gagik has also been involved in different projects of ADB, KFW, UNECE, WB, OECD, FDA and DFID.

In the past 3 years he has been implementing consultancy mainly in the water sector, as well as cooperating with Greenpact BV (Netherlands) as a PPP advisor.

He has conducted presentations related to PPP in more than 20 countries and prepared the following publications: “Overview of the Private Sector Participation in the Water Supply and Sanitation Sector of Armenia”, “Market Oriented Reforms and Case of Public-Private Partnership in Armenia”.
