Artyom is an experienced media manager, editor and reporter.
After a long career with the BBC, which saw him hold several senior management roles, Artyom left the corporation in 2019 in order to concentrate on his personal projects.
He has since worked with major international organisations around the world on media development and strategy projects. His company, Flying Fox Media, is innovating in the production of podcasts for UK and overseas brands.
His media experience has been built up over 25 years in the industry.
While working for the BBC, he was directly in charge of all BBC output in the Russian, Ukrainian, Azeri and Serbian languages. Under his leadership, the department doubled its audience and increased the impact of the BBC in its target markets.
Before Artyom was appointed into this senior management role, he reported and produced for the BBC from all over the world, winning prestigious international awards.
Born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, Artyom started his journalistic career at Kharkiv regional radio. He also worked as reporter and presenter at a local TV company. In the 1990s, he worked in Moscow, at VID TV company, as correspondent of the popular TV show, Vzglyad, and a producer on a leading talk-show.
Artyom spends his spare time doing street photography, piloting light aircraft and playing squash.
