Markus Wissmann is currently based in Germany, Düsseldorf. He has been with Cisco for more than 11 years, working in various management roles leading international sales, go-to market and business development across multiple segments. Today Markus runs Cisco´s Smart Cities business for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia and focuses together with his team on a large number of key urbanization engagements in more than 100 Cities. Markus has over 20 years of ICT sales and business development experience and started to gain smart cities expertise almost 10 years ago. He is also an experienced Real estate professional with hospitality subject matter expertise and wide-ranging experience in sustainable real estate and green building developments. Prior to Cisco Markus led hospitality sales and business development for Siemens Dubai where he lived for 5 years.
