Doris studied architecture and urban planning and had several specializations and trainings in the field of housing, urban planning and project management. She has worked as architect for several years and consultant in different international funded projects. Between 2012 and 2014 she worked as senior housing expert for the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Housing and Land Management Unit in Geneva. From 2001 to 2012 she held the position of Director of Housing Policy Department in the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Albania. She was a delegate of Albania in UNECE Committee of Housing and Land Management since 2001, bureau member of the same Committee between 2002 and 2012 and was elected Chair of the Committee for the period 2006 – 2009. She has been involved in numerous international activities. She holds the degree of Master of Science in Urban Housing Management and she is a guest lecturer at the International School for Architecture and Urban Planning in Tirana.
